A pair of early 1900's French knitted stockings. Cotton. Black  in color. A linen strap has been hand sewn to the top of one of the stockings.

Condition
 
Used but still in good condition. The only thing to note is that one of the stockings undoubtedly had a linen strap at the top like the other and it has now gone missing. 
 
Other than giving the socks a long cold water soak and a long cold water wash wash the socks have been left in as found condition.
