A pair of early 1900's French knitted socks. Cotton. White  in color. A linen strap has been hand sewn to each of the the sock at the top. Partial monogram at the top of one sock with cross stitch initial "CG."

Condition
 
Used but still in good condition. The nly thing to note is that the monogram on one sock has dissapeared with time and most of the monogram on the other sock is also missing. 
 
Other than giving the socks a long cold water soak and a long cold water wash wash the socks have been left in as found condition. 
 
It is always our intention to preserve the color and the integrety of the textiles.
