A matching set of probably early 1900's Chinese em!broideries. All hand done. Silk on silk. The motifs mirror each other and depict figures, butterflies, trees. 
 
Photos are a good indication of actual color and condition. Base color of silk is ivory.

Condiion
 
Left in as found condition.
 
The embroideries are in excellent condition. The silk base has aged showing color variations consistant with time and show some light stains and soiling at the folds which in my opinion only adds to the old work look. Embroidery work is lined with a yellow thread which has bled into the silk backing but not into the rest of the embroidery. 
 
Silk is good and strong with no damage or splits.
