An 18th century French silk and silver metallic thread brocade fabric. Depicting groups of florals and leaves in silk and silver metallic thread with branch and florals motifs done in a silver metal thread only.
Colors: florals and leaves in shades green, white peach, burnt orange and a bit of blue.
Background color dark peach.
Usually the brocades made in the 1700's used real gold and silver threads.
Photos are a good representation of actual color and condition.

*actually three pieces of the same fabric hand seamed together. Almost two equal sizes with a seam running top to bottom down the middle. A small piece has been added to the upper right hand corner.
Condition
Left in as found condition.
Colors are good and strong and all threads intact.
Slightly fragile with some splits. Probably best suited for documentation or framing unless you decided to stabilize the brocade from the back.
At the back you will see remants of another silk. This piece was quit probably used on a chasuble at one time.
