An 18th century French silk and gold metal  thread brocade fabric. Depicting small groups of florals with lattice work mtofis of small florals and leafy branches. Silver lame base. 

 

Colors:peach, burnt orange, a bit of dark brown and green. Lattice work done in beige and gold metal threads. 

 

Background color geyish silver lame

 

A cardboard label at top describes color. 

 

Usually the brocades made in the 1700's used real gold and silver threads. 

 

Photos are a good representation of actual color and condition.

Colors are good and strong all silk threads intact. 

 

Some aging of iin color of the background color. It was probably a brighter silver at one time.
