An 18th century French silk and silver metallic thread brocade fabric. Depicting long vines of of florals and leaves which include roses and carnations.
Colors are rosy red, pinks, shades of blue, shades of a green and a bit of purple with bands of silver metal thread running from top top bottow and woven through the yellow silk base.
Usually the brocades made in the 1700's used real gold and silver threads.
Hand stitched to a piece of line at the back which could easily be removed if desired.
