An ancient French sail. Made from a heavy cotton or linen. It has a lot of weight to it. Four sided. Has a light peachy/tan color to it. Panels are hand sewn together with a thick linen thread. Iron hardware at the corners. A thick rope along the sides with a hand made cover. Something I have never seen before. Great decorative piece for interior projects.

Condition
 
Left in "as found" condition.
 
The sail shows it's age with a lot of stains, several patches, a group of patches at one side and a tear towards the top. Patches are lighter in color than the sail. 
 
Could probably use a cleaning to freshen up.
