An early 1800's French chanvre linen fabric. Camrbrasine. Repeating design of hand embroidered florals on a leafy stem done in a wool thread. 
 
The chanvre is white in color with florals in light mustard and coral.

1 meter 65 cm x 88 cm wide
 
*Actually 4 pieces of the same fabric that have been hand seamed together. Original selvage can be seen at the seams. 
 
Condition
 
Left in as found condition and not laundered. Light surface soiling from age and use. 
 
Somewhat distressed with many medium and small holes in some areas. other areas in good condition without damage. Holes can be seen in photos. Some thread loss in some of the florals. Coral threads have lightened and faded with age. Fabric was quilted at one time.
