An early 1900's shades of dark blue and white plaid cotton fabric. French in origin. Commonly used as mattress covers. Better known in France as "kelsch." Durable fabric suitable for upholstery projects as well as soft furnishings.

Left in "as found" condition. Clean look 
 
One tear at one end. A couple of small thin spots. A small hole at one edge. Five orangey small stains. One fade area. Probably best suited for smaller projects. 
 
Other than the one fade area colors strong and consitant.
