An early 1900's French cotton toile pelmet. Cotton. All hand stitched, Depicting florals and leaves with wheat in shades of rosy red to pinkish tones. You can see along the top a band of scallops with a straight edge at the bottom. Decorative ruffle like edge along the top and scallops finished with a terracotta colored trim. At the back top edge you will see some metal hooks for hanging.

Condition
 
Left in "as found" condition and not laundered. The pelmet could use a freshing up. There are a couple of larger light stains and a couple of smaller dark stains. Along the very top edge you will see many old darned repairs. In the scalloped band I noticed three very tiny holes. For the rest all of the fabric is in good useable condition. 
 
Colors strong and even.
