An early to mid 1800's French toile du jouy. Linen. Shades of rosey red in color with a light natural linen colored background. Depicts various scenes with figures and animals.

Condition
 
Most of  the fabric in good useable condition except for the upper left hand corner area which shows holes which can be seen in the photos. A couple of light small stains toward left hand side which may come up with a deeper cleaning if desired. Upper right hand corner is a small hand stitched sewn in piece of the same toile fabric. Two largish holes bottom left hand corner. Small holes along bottom edge. 
 
The fabric has been given a long cold water soak to removed dust and dirt using those famous Marseille soaps without bleaching agents. 
 
It is our aim to preserve the color and the integrety of the fabrci since many of our fabrics are being reproduced.
