An early to mid 1800's French toile du jouy. Linen. Shades of rosey red in color with a light natural linen colored background. Depicts various scenes with figures and animals.

Condition
 
Most of  the fabric in good useable condition. One hole about half way down center. Small holes that travel down the edge right hand side. All motifs except one in good condition with the only the odd pinhole which can be seen when held up to the the light. 
 
Colors good strong and even. No stains. 
 
The fabric has been given a long cold water soak to removed dust and dirt using those famous Marseille soaps without bleaching agents. 
 
It is our aim to preserve the color and the integrety of the fabrci since many of our fabrics are being reproduced.
