A late 19th century French bodice front. Body made of white cotton muslin cotton. Collar made of a solid cotton with cutwork design around all sides. Fabric button closure. Matching sleaves are made of the same materials but have mother of pearl button closures. All hand stitched. This set may have been a salesman sample and has been starched. Photos are a good representation of color and condition.
Measurements
Bodice measures
38 cm from top of collor to bottom of of center.
32.5 cm from shoulder to shoulder.
Sleaves measure
41.5 cm from top of sleave to bottom of lace edge x 19 cm across the opening of the sleave at top.
Condition
I didn't see any obvious damage or holes. There are a couple of light marks and all the pieces show some light yelllowing age spots.
The set has been left in their original "as found" condition and you will see some yellowing areas.
