Probably a early 1900's French linen sack. Stamped at the front with the words "Solvay et Cie" at the top with an "S and arrow center" and "Carbonate de Soude along the bottom. Heavier weave. Sides and top edge are hand stitched with a linen thread. Natural linen color

Left in "as found" condition. Several marks and stains throughout. Several crude repairs. At the back some heavy staining and some larger and smaller holes.
Could undoubtedly use a good soaking to freshen up and remove dust and dirt.
