Possibly dating from the late 1800's. French oil painting depicting trees in the foreground in dark tones of greens with the hill in the background in lighter tones of green. Blueish grey and white skey in the background. Love the technique of the thickly applied paint.
Done on particle board. Signed at the bottom which is hard to read but looks like VVG 99 or 94. At the back there is a stamp that has for the most part faded away but you can make out the French word "ecole" which means school and Paris. So probably a piece painted by a student at one time.
