This is a beautiful antique French pelmet. Probably dates from the early 1900's.  Elegant floral and scrolled leaf design with "lattic work blossom" design along the bottom edge. Very fine linen base with an old stabilizer at the back. It appears that the design has been printed on the linen in a matching contast color and all the gold showing has been hand painted. Gold metallic tassels have been evenly placed along the scalloped bottom edge. The color changes depending on the light. When out of the sun it appears predominantly blue. In the sun it turns to a greenish blue. Nice quality. Photos are good representation of actual color.
