A Late 1800's early 1900's French folding top hat with it's original card board box. Appears to be made of silk. Black in color with makers stamp on the inside. Cardboard box is curved in shape, has a metal handle at one side and blakc cotton ties at each side.

Left in as found condition. 
 
The hat shows slight signs of age but nothing major and basically in very good condition. 
 
Box shows quit a lot of wear especially along the edges and a break at the back. It is stable though and still very useable. Great display piece.
