Antique French ribbon trims. Probably dates from the early 1900's. Repeating stylized blossom design in a light grey silk threas with gold metallic threads woven in around each motifs. All done on a lavender cotton back. These ribbons were popular with the Dutch in the small village of Marken and were used as fasteners to hold an apron into place. You will see hook and eye catches at the ends.
