A beautiful example of an antique silk chapan ikat from Bukara, Uzbekistan. Proababy dates from the early 1900's.  Worn like a cape with a small hood at the back. The sleaves (which aren't really used) are worn at the back and fixed into place with a small decorative embroidery.  The insides is lined with a large printed cotton floral motif. All hand stitched. Photos are a good representation of actual colors.
