A lovely piece of antique Fez embroidery. Done in a light purple silk thread. Repeating larger diamond motifs down the center with small motifs of diamond at one side and along the other side smaller diamond with stylized trees. Done on a finely woven linen base. 
 
The fringe along all sides appears to be silk or possible a silk/cotton combination.
