A 19th century French toile du jouy. Block print on a finely woven cotton. Depcting Asian motifs of a man with bow and arrow at the top and a geisha towards the bottom with florals and leaves here and there at the sides. Saved from an old screen.

Left in "as found" condition and not laundered.
The fabric was attached to a screen at one time with a layer of batting underneath the fabric. Some wear and heavier glue spots along the top edge and down around the top corners. Small splits at the sides and a few tiny pinholes. A couple of tiny holes above top figure and two small splits below the motif of the geisha. Majoritiy of fabric is good condition. Fabric is still good and strong and suitable for sewing.
You will see some slight age spots but prefer leaving any cleaning up to the discretion of the customer.
