A panel of 19th century silk brocatelle fabric. French in orgin. This example has a beautiful mossy green color tone on tone with the background sligtly lighter shade of green and the large floral and leaf pattern in a darker green. The fabric is medium weight and suitable for soft furnishings as welll as upholstery work.

Odd shape with a strip across the top that has a large split at one side and a narrow strip along the bottom. For simplicity I am squaring the piece
 
1 meter 14 cm x 55 cm wide (still has the selvage at both sides) 
 
Narrower strip at the bottom is 
 
45 cm x 39 cm wide (so enough for a small project)
 
Condition
 
Used but still in good condition overall. Colors are consistant for the most but does show some slight variation due to age but nothing I find distracting and what you would expect on an item of this age. At stain at the bottom narrow section and some discoloration due to age. You will see traces of sewing lines at the edges. The fabric has been in storage for quit awhile so it could use a freshing up.
