Antique chintz  breast plate or "borstlap" as we refer to it in Dutch. Several pieces of antique chintz sewn together. Backed with black linen. All hand stitched.  Hook and eye closure at one shoulder. Dates from the late the late 1800s. Wool loops at the bottom corners. Antique silk ribbon at the neck.  Nice quality. Photos are a good representation of actual color.

40 cm from shoulder to shoulder x 33 cm from top of the shoulder to the bottom.

Condition
 
Good overall condition for it's age. The only thing to note is that you will see a couple of tiny pinholes in the chintz fabric and a couple of stains on the inside liner. Nothing major. Still has a good appearance.
