A 19th cetury gold silk velvet panel. French in origin. Probably used on a vestment at one time. Silk embrroidred florals include carnations, pomegranite and leaves. A band of stylized ribbon in between the florals in a thick silver metal thread. Backed with linen for strength and stability.
