A French cotton chintz fabric. Probably late 1800's or early 1900's. Repeating patttern of birds facing each other surrounded by leafy vines, leafy branches and stylized blossoms. Colors are terracotta with a creame colored back. Still has a lot of it's glazing intact.
Photos are a good indication of actual color and condition.

Condition
Left in "as found" condition and not laundered. We rarely clean chintz fabrics in order to preserve the glazing.
The fabric at one time a slightly darker shade of terracotta which can be seen at the top and bottom edge where the fabric was not exposed to the elements.
Colors are good, strong and consistant. No damage or stains. There is a sewing line that crosses the top edge, the bottom edge and down the right hand side so you may loose approx. 5 cm off of each of these edges.
