A 19th century French quilt. All hand stitched.

One side. Cotton. Repeat stylized paisley design with indienne influence. Colors are dar and light terracotta, a bit of mustard and black against a light creme background.

Thin layer of batting between the fabrics.

As with most of the quilts from this period the fabrics are several panels that have been hand seamed together and usually the panels are between 80 to 90 cm wide if they are from selvage to selvage.
