A 19th century French quilt. All hand stitched.
One side. Cotton. Depicts small groups of florals with tiny leafy branches in the background that cross each other. Colors in florals are terracotta, marigold and black. Tiny branches are in two alternating colros of light pink and black with tiny orange blossoms. All on a light creme colored back.
Other side. Cotton. Striped/plaid in shades of charcoal with a creme colored back.
As with most of the quilts from this period the fabrics are several panels that have been hand seamed together and usually the panels are between 80 to 90 cm wide if they are from selvage to selvage.
Photos are a good indication of color and condition.

Left in "as found" condition.
Overalll good condition the only thing to note is:
-the front and back show some larger areas of some light yellowing areas due to age but blends well for the most part.
At stripe/plaid side two tiny holes one at the edge another just off the edge.
Colors are good, strong and consistant.
