A 19th century French quilt. All hand stitched. 
 
One side. Cotton. Large groups of florals and leaves in shades of red to shades of pink and green with branches and leaves in lavender to dark purple. Picotage work. Tiny dotted background. Base color is creme. 
 
Other side. Cotton. Repeat diamond pattern with what looks like strawberry motis in the center in a natural red color. Tiny dotted background in light brown. 
 
As with most of the quilts from this period the fabrics are several panels that have been hand seamed together and usually the panels are between 80 to 90 cm wide if they are from selvage to selvage. 
 
Photos are a good indication of color and condition.

Left in "as found" condition. 
 
Overalll good condition the only thing to note 
 
floral side has some very light wear at the edges here and there nothing major. At one corner a small old darned repair.
 
strawberry side has two large dark stains at one end and a small dark stain at the corner same end. Here and there some light age spots. One old repair and one small hole.
