A late 1800's early 1900's Fench silk brocatelle fabric. Probably used on religious vestments at one time and turned into a pillow case at a later date. Large motifs of artichoe and scrolled leaves in golden yellow and a reddish orange with creme colored accents. There is a gold metallic trim around all edges with a linen backing.
Photos are a good representation of actual color and condition.
Measurements
55 x 54 cm
Condition
Could be used as it but could probably use a repurpose. Along one side the silk has begun to fray so you may loose 5 cm off that side. The other three sides show a bit of fray at the edg so you may loose 2 cm off those sides. The rest of the fabric appears to be in good strong condition. No stains or fading of color.
