Very pretty design and color combination in this early 1800's French cotton block pirnt fabric. Indienne with exotic looking florals and leaves (birds of paradise), birds and butterflies

The cotton striped fabric has lines of color in light blue, medium blue, natrual red, yellow, green and white. Brillant spot of color for classic as well as modern interiors.

Full repeat but missing pieces.

At one time the fabric was used to make one of those famous provencal skirts and not long ago the skirt was exhibit at the Museum de Viel-Aix "detail d'un jupon en cotton pique a motifs d'oiseaux de paradis et de fleurs," fabrication provencale, XIX siecle. (last photo shows the publication from the Museum.

Photos are a good representation of actual color and condition.
