A heavily distressed 19th century French chanvre linen. Natural light oatmeal color. One long rectangular size patch.

97 cm in length x 48 cm wide. 

Condition
 
Heavily distressed with many large and small holes as well as thin areas. At one side you will see a hand stitched seam that runs along the length. A larger light stain at one end but blends well into the fabric. Slight variaitons in color due to age and use. 
 
The fabric has been given a cold water soak to remove dust and dirst and then a light light laundering using those famous Marseille soaps without bleaching agents. 
 
It is our aim to preserve and protect the orginal colors of the fabric since many of our fabrics are being currently reproduced.
