Part of Dutch traditional costumes, this pleated plaid cotton ruffle in shades of red and white with a pinstripe in blue. Hand embroidered band along the top with repeating star motifs in red against a white background. The ruflle would have been attached to the top of an apron for decoration.  Probably dates from late 1800's to early 1900's .
