Beautifully embroidery work in this early 1900's French curtain.  Hand done tambour embroidery on a fine muslin cotton. White on white. Larger motifs of florals and leaves down the sides and along the bottom with smaller motifs of florals and leaves in the center area. Scalloped along sides and bottom edge.  Elegant look. Quality item.

Due to the intense embroidery work the curtain has a lot of weight and a good flow.

Photos are a good representation of actual color and condition.

Condition

Left in "as found" condition. Not laundered. Clean appearance with no stains.

Good condition overall with a good appearance and could still be used as a curtain. There is one largish old darned repair towards one side. A group of small patches (made with the same muslin cotton) at the bottom). A few tiny holes in the muslin cotton but nothing major. Embroidery work all in tack and useable for the most part except by the repairs.

At a later date a nylon band has been sewn along the top edge which is not attractive in my opinion and I would remove and replace it with a cotton or linen band that would be more suitable.
