Early 1900's French cotton under vest. I love the way this vest is made and it looks great worn over shirts as well. 
 
Dark beige color with bands around the arms edges in a lighter beige Curved opening down the front and close with mother of pearl buttons. Label inside of collar Fabrication Francaise.

The garment has a good overall appearance. Things to note: 
 
-three holes at the bottom with thin areas
-one beautiful large darned repair bottton side. 
-some light soiling which I'm sure will lift with a good soak or repeated washings. 
-small worn spot in band around the arm 
-all buttons on the front intact. 
 
The garment has been in storage for many years and could use a good soak to freshen and remove dust. No obvious dark stains.
