Beautifully made this woven early 1900's French fabric. Base fabric is an antique white silk. The repeating design of birds, florals and leaves is done in a gold metal thread. Probably initially intended for vestments. 
 
The fabric is strong, medium weight and would be perfectly suitable for upholstery projects as well as soft furnishings and of course vestments.

Left in as found condition. 
 
Appears to be old unused stock. Very good condition. Metal threads have darkened evenly a bit giving the gold threads a bit of a silver look. Some very light folds from being in storage but should press out fairly easily.
