An early 1900's French cotton toile du jouy. Light shades of red and white in color. Done the middle repeat motifs of birds perched above a basket of flowers that alternate with a scene of a young man guarding his lamb from a wolf. At the sides a repeat scene of a young maiden tending her garden that alternate with torch like motifs with urns of flowers at each side.
Probably part of a bed cover at one time with a ruffle along one side.

9 cm wide.
Condition
Left in "as found" condition and has a very clean appearance with no stains or discoloration. Colors may have lighted a bit with time but are even in appearance. There is one tiny pinhole and a larger hole at the bottom edge.
