An early to mid 1800's French cotton block print. Indienne style florals and leaves with butterflies and insects. Colors are rosy red, pink, golden tan, light blue and dark lavender against a light beige background (possibly white at one time but has aged).

Condition
 
Some larger and several smaller holes here and there in the fabric. Some good small areas without damage. Some larger areas of browning color towards the bottom due to age and would probably lift with a deeper cleaning.  Colors are good, strong and even. 
 
The fabric has been given a long cold water soak in order to remove dust and dirt and then a long cold water wash. It is our aim to preserve the color and the integretity of the fabric since many of our fabrics are reproduced. A deeper cleaning of the fabric would undoubtedly lift lighter aged areas if desired.
