An early 1800's French cotton block print. Repeat pattern of larger blossoms with groupds of small blossoms on branches. Colors are madder red and light blue against a natural mustard color background.
Ful repeat but there are missing parts.

88 cm wide from selvage to selvage (please note selvage at one side and only part of selvage at the other side.
Condition
Lightly quilted at one time so you will see light traces of quilt lines. A large tear at the left hand side. Many small holes throughout the entire piece with thin areas. Narrow strip along the right hand side missing. There are some good small sections in good condition. Best suited for small projects or documentation. Color are strong, even and consistant. No stains.
The fabric has been given a cold water soak to remove dust and dirst and then a light light laundering using those famous Marseille soaps without bleaching agents.
It is our aim to preserve and protect the orginal colors of the fabric since many of our fabrics are being currently reproduced.
