Late 1700's/early 1800's French toile du jouy. Linen. Shades of dark pink reddish tones. Depicting some swags of blossoms, scrolled leaves and florals. Center large motif a set of columns and two deer at the base. Left side cows at the top, figures and some old ruins towards the bottom. To the right same motifs as to the left side.

*Actually three pieces of the same fabric hand stitched together. The center piece is the larges and selvage to selvage measuring 98 cm wide. 
 
Condition
 
Heavily distressed with large and small holes, thin areas and missing pieces. This is a good combination piece though because several areas are intact without damage so the fabric would be suitable for small sewing projects. 
 
The fabric has been laundered using those famous Marseille soaps without bleaching agents in order to remove dust and dirt. We like to deliver a clean and pressed product when possible but take care to preserve the color and integretity of the fabric.
