Circa 1900 this French gentlemens vest. Black wool front. Darkish brown glazed cotton back. White cotton liner that has been hand stitched. Still has all of it's original buttons. Buckle at back. 
 
Photos are a good indication of actual color and condition.

58 cm from top of neckline to point at bottom 
38 cm from one side of shoulder to other side of shoulder
47.5 cm from under arm to under arm. 
 
Condition
 
Left in "as found" condition. 
 
Good appearance but does have a small hole at the bottom of the lepel., and the back shows thin areas across the top of the back and at the sides of the vest. Liner is not damaged but shows dark stains under each arm which can be seen in the photos. 
 
The vest has been in stoarage for awhile so you may want to give it a drycleaning to freshen.
