A large antique French sampler. Dated 1882. Made in Castenet on the 12th May by 9 year old Vialn Marie. . Hand embroidered cross stitch in a wool thread. Large variety of motifs which can be seen in the photos in mulit-colors.

Condition
 
Very good condition with strong even colors. The only thing to note is small old darned repair next to the letter "a" at "fair a" at the bottom. A couple of tiny pinholes at the edges and a bit of soiling along the edges from dust. Nothing major or distracting.
