Part of Dutch traditional costumes, this hand embroidered band that would have been used at each side of an apron and used to attach one side to the other side. Repeating geometric pattern. Probably dates from early to mid 1900's 
 
Done in a black wool thread on a linen back.

Condition
 
Excellent condition and possibly never been used. Normally a hook would be at each end of the band so it could be fasteners to an apront but there are no hooks on this band.
