We've made this fan shaped ribbon work piece using only antique French silk ribbons, trims and beads.
 
The base is a gold lame ribbbon with a deep warm patina loosely pleated  At the base center and here and there throughout dark turquoise silk French ribbon rosettes with gold metallic mesh leaves> here and there throughout we have added gold metal beads. 
 
All hand sitched.
