A highly distressed late 1700's early 1800's French quilt fragment. 
 
Front fabric is an oberkampf cotton block prnt with a repeating stylized blossom design with abstract pinwheel motifs around the sides. Colors are beige and creme. 
 
Back fabric is an solid indigo blue cotton fabric.  
 
Photos are a good representation of actual color and condition.

Left in "as found" condition. 
 
Front fabric is highly distressed many large and small holes. At a later stage it has been patched in three places with plaid fabrics at one side. 
 
The back sik fabric is in better condition with only a couple of small holes and undoubtedly some thin areas. It does show signs of soiling.
