Glad to add another variation of this late 1700's early 1800's French cotton block print fabric. "Bonnes Herbes" with a variety of florals in rosy red, mustard, pink, light blue and white on leafy green stems. Background has in intense pattern of small leafy vines in light brown with a dark brown background.
Full repeat.
Photos are a good representation of actual color and condition.
Measurements
From top to bottom
54 cm
The width across
17 cm (still has the selvage at one side)
Condition
Distressed with many holes along the edges except for the selvage side. Here and there small holes and thin areas in the main body of the fabric. No stains.
Colors are good strong and even.
The fabric has been giving a long cold water soak to remove dust and dirt and a long cold water wash using those famous Marseille soaps without bleaching agents.
It is our aim to preserve the colors and the integretity of the fabric since many of our fabrics are being reproduced.
