Rather shattered look to this late 1800's early 1900's French bodice. All hand stitched. Cotton base. At one time a very finely woven green linen covering the cotton base. Top layer is an iredescent rosy silk fabric with repeating dot design done in a silk thread. Around part of the neck and black velvet ribbon with a black velvet bow. Fastens shut with hook and eye closures. Sewn in supports.

Condition

As you can see from the photos the silk is shattered and fragile with many loose piece. It could easily be removed of perhaps or slow stitched down for upscaling and revamping. Cotton base is in good solid condition but does show soiling from being in storage for years.
