A late 1800's French bodice. Base material is a gold polished cotton. Around the neck, shoulderts and a strip down the back a silk chiffon with floral and leaf design and garnished with tiny silve rmetal spangles. Closes with hook and eye closures down the front.
Inside sewn in rib supports and a band that goes around the waist with the name of the maker.
All hand stitched.

Condition
Left in "as found" condition. Could use a good pressing.
A few condition issues. Around the neck the chiffon is ruffles and slightly damaged and has come loose in a few spots. Small tear in cotton bottom front by the closure. At the back I believe there use to be V shape band that is now missing. You can see a sew line where it use to be and some small holes in the gold fabric at each side.
On the front bottom you an see a black band at one side but not at the other side.
