A late 1800's French embroiderey. Center depicting a baset holding a group of florals and leaves. Around the sides more florals and leaves with a ribbon at the bottom. 

 

The basket with he monogram AV are all done in glass beads as well as the red ribbon at the bottom. The rest of the hand embroidery is all done in soft tones of chenille thread. Base is antique silk more. 

 

The embroidery has been hand stitched around the side on a carboard base which can be easily removed if desired. 

 

Measurements

 

33 cm from top to bottom x 40.5 cm across. 

 

Condition

 

Overall very good condition with no thread loss. The silk moire is a little fragile in a few spots around the edges and you will see a light stains of discoloration around the red ribbon.
