A very large and extraordinary 19th century French quilt. Fabrics front and back. Cotton. 
 
Front fabric appears to be an intricate block/roll print of various florals and leaves in a wide range of colors against a white background. 
 
Back faric is a block/roll print of of groups of lforals and leaves in an urn in shades of gold with black accents against a light creme bacground. 
 
 
All hand stitched.

Each side of the quilt has 3 panels of the same fabric that have been hand seamed together. 
 
Condition
 
Left in "as found" condition. 
 
Overall very good condition. 
 
The front side shows a couple of old repairs towards the center and a couple very small breaks next to the repairs. Nothing major considering age. Colors are good, strong and even. No obvious stains. 
 
Backside very good condition. I didn't find any damage. Colors good, strong and even. No stains.
