Wooden spool of antique metallic weavy thread. French in origin. Probably dates from the late 1800's or early 1900's. At least 100(probably more ) meters of thread on this spool. Intended for hand sewing only. This is a wavy  thread with gold color. Metal casing is wrapped around a linen base and has a supple soft feel to it. Photos are a good representation of actual color.
